Writing A Fan-Fiction Feature Film [NaNoWriMo 2017]
NaNoWriMo is an annual event where every participant commits to writing a novel in 30 days.
National Novel Writing Month is a great opportunity to brush up on those writing skills. Everyday is a ticking clock demanding you sit down and pump out some pages. This year we decided to join in on the fun, but in our own way.
This month we'll be writing a feature film! The script will be a fan-fic sequel to Steven Spielberg's JURASSIC PARK.
Why Fan Fiction?
Developing an original idea takes a considerable amount of creative resources and research. NaNoWriMo is all about cranking out a big project in record time. Building off an established property like JURASSIC PARK lets us immediately hit the ground running.
NaNoWriMo is also about having fun. We love the world and characters of JURASSIC PARK so getting to create in that universe presents a thrilling challenge. We also believe it will be fun for readers as well, comparing our sequel to Spielberg's THE LOST WORLD and seeing what new directions we take the mythos.

We'll be sharing pages here and there as we write and develop the script. On November 30th, the completed screenplay will be published on the PFAS Stories page on this site, available to read or download.
We'd also love to read what you're working on for NaNoWriMo. Whether you're writing a novel or working on a feature film like us, tweet us @PFASStories. We're interested in hearing what you're stories are about.
